Solar panels allow homeowners to use a renewable energy source that cannot be abused because no one can own the sun. Panels may be expensive, but once they are paid for, the savings skyrocket because the sunlight is free. Plus, solar panels are great for the environment. Solar energy is a completely clean energy. There is no byproduct, so users reduce their carbon footprint and help protect the environment for future generations.

Solar Panel Options:

Kyocera KD315GX-LPB

At 16 percent, this solar panel isn’t the most efficient solar panel. It is, however, very durable and is able to withstand 113 pounds per square foot of pressure. It also does well against hail and wind. The panel comes with a five-year warranty, and the company ensures the output will stay at 80 percent or better for at least 20 years.

Canadian Solar CS6X-305M

The Canadian Solar CS6X-305M is quite comparable to the Kyocera KD315GX-LPB. It has a 15.9 percent efficiency and can also withstand 113 pounds per square foot of pressure. The company’s guarantee, however, is slightly better. They promise 95 percent output for the first year and 80 percent for 25 years. This model, however, claims to be self-cleaning, so as long as the roof is angled correctly, rain supposedly keeps it clean.

Grape Solar 390W

The Grape Solar 390W offers similar efficiency at 15.21 percent, but it can only handle 50 pounds of snow per square foot, making it a better option for areas that don’t receive heavy snowfalls. The warranty and output for Grape Solar 390W, however, is better than the previous two. The company promises 90 percent output for ten years, followed by 80 percent output for 25 years. So while it isn’t as efficient as the other two, users get more out of it in the first ten years.

Solar power is a great way to go, and all three of these solar panels are an excellent option. Solar power means escaping the attachment to the electric company and the ever-increasing costs. Instead, users get free use of the sun.
